ROLE: Pre Construction Coordinator

LOCATION: Near Epping, Essex – Office Based
SALARY: £40,000 – £45,000

THE COMPANY

A leading contracting business are looking for a Pre Construction Coordinator to join their Pre Construction team in Essex. This role is an office based position and gives someone the opportunity to grow and develop. Ideally suited to someone with experience within the Pre Construction process as a coordinator, document controller, estimating etc. The company will give you exposure to major commercial projects across sectors including retail, hospitality, high-end residential and corporate spaces. They also offer ongoing training and development opportunities tailored to your growth. Ideally you will be from an Interiors or Fit Out subcontractor.

THE JOB

As Pre Construction Coordinator you’ll be responsible for everything from technical reviews and material approvals to samples, scheduling, and client coordination. You’ll ensure that every project kicks off with clear direction, fully approved specs, and all required materials in place. You will enjoy managing documentation, coordinating between teams, and keeping projects organised and on track.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and maintain all project-related documentation, ensuring everything is filed and up to date

* Assist the Pre-Construction team with planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities

* Upload and update documents on client portals and internal systems

* Coordinate sample submissions and track approvals

* Work closely with Estimators, Project Managers, and the wider operations team to ensure a smooth handover to delivery

* Track and manage specification queries, material submittals, and sample schedules

* Ensure all materials are ordered accurately, in line with lead times and programme of works

* Help manage workload planning and internal reporting

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

* Previous experience working in an interiors, Fit Out or subcontractor environment is essential

* Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines

* Confident communicator and proactive team player

* Comfortable using project management tools and client documentation portals

* Strong administrative and coordination skills
