We are looking for a Domestic Repairs Engineer to carry out responsive gas repairs and maintenance to domestic properties, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality service delivery. The role focuses solely on repair work (no installs), diagnosing faults and fixing gas appliances, pipework, and heating systems efficiently, with a strong emphasis on tenant satisfaction and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Attend occupied and void properties to diagnose and repair faults on gas appliances and central heating systems.

Carry out repairs to boilers, radiators, pipework, valves, and associated components in line with manufacturer and industry standards.

Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safe regulations and relevant health and safety standards.

Accurately complete all job documentation using handheld devices or manual paperwork.
*
Maintain clear communication with tenants, providing updates on repair progress and expected completion.
*
Report immediately any unsafe installations, equipment, or appliances.
*
Manage van stock levels and ensure materials and parts are ordered or collected as needed.
*
Attend emergency call-outs (if part of the rota) and provide efficient fault resolution.
*
Work collaboratively with planners, supervisors, and other operatives to ensure a seamless repairs service.
*
Identify and report any safeguarding or tenancy concerns while on-site.
Essential Requirements:
*
ACS Qualifications (e.g. CCN1, CENWAT, CPA1, HTR1, CKR1).
*
Gas Safe registered (or working under a registered company).
*
Proven experience in domestic gas repairs and fault diagnostics.
*
Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance regulations.
*
Full UK driving licence (company van usually provided).
*
Excellent problem-solving ability and time management.
