Job Title: Planner – Construction
Location: Yorkshire / North East England
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Planner to join our dynamic team, working across a diverse range of projects in the construction sector. Operating in the Yorkshire and North East England regions, our projects span Healthcare, Education, Residential, and Retail sectors, offering variety and complexity to challenge and develop your planning skills.

As a Planner, you will take ownership of developing and maintaining detailed programmes of work that guide projects from tender stage through to completion. You will play a key role in project success, ensuring timely delivery while identifying risks and coordinating solutions throughout the lifecycle of each scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage comprehensive programmes covering design, procurement, and construction phases.

Support tender submissions with well-structured and realistic planning input.

*

Monitor progress, identify delays or potential issues, and propose mitigation strategies.

*

Liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to align expectations and schedules.

*

Provide insight and input into planning and delivery strategies to support best practice.

Key Requirements:

*

Proven experience in a planning role within the construction industry.

*

Strong knowledge of Asta Powerproject (or similar planning software).

*

Understanding of contract forms and their planning requirements, particularly NEC, JCT, and ECC3.

*

Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.

*

Able to work autonomously and collaboratively, influencing project teams to ensure programme adherence.

*

A problem-solver with a flexible, proactive approach to workload and deadlines.
