Ductwork Project Manager
Ductwork Project Manager – Hertfordshire
£60,000 – £70,000 + Company Vehicle | BUPA | 28 Days Holiday + Christmas Shutdown
We’re working with a long-standing mechanical contractor based in Hertfordshire – a family-run business with over 40 years of experience in HVAC, known for their quality work and close-knit team. They’ve built a loyal client base (particularly in the hospitality and restaurant world) and are growing steadily, with exciting plans over the next five years. Right now, they’re looking to bring in a Ductwork Project Manager to help lead the delivery of multiple fast-paced projects across the UK.
What the role looks like
This is a hands-on role where you’ll be managing several projects at once – mainly short-turnaround HVAC installs, often for repeat clients. You’ll be the main point of contact for the job, making sure everything runs smoothly on site, supporting the engineers, dealing with the client, and keeping on top of RAMS, safety and planning.
There’s a strong technical side to the job too – helping the team quote works, offering support during surveys, and ensuring everything is delivered to spec. You’ll be based in Hertfordshire but projects are nationwide, so there’s a bit of travel involved, though there’s flexibility to work from home when you’re not needed on site.
If you’re already managing ductwork projects, this could be a great step up into a growing business. Equally, if you’re a Site Manager or Project Engineer looking to make that next move, they’re happy to support the right person with the right experience.
What you’ll be doing
*
Running multiple mechanical projects at once (mainly HVAC and ductwork)
*
Acting as the main point of contact for clients and engineers
*
Producing and reviewing RAMS and ensuring all health and safety standards are met

Supporting the quoting process and helping with technical documentation
*
Keeping communication flowing between the office, site, and client
*
Helping with planning and coordination from start to finish
What they’re looking for
*
A solid mechanical background – ideally someone who’s come up through the tools (ductwork, welding, or HVAC engineering)
*
At least 3 years’ experience managing mechanical projects
*
Comfortable working on fast-paced, multi-site programmes
*
Great communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
*
Someone flexible who’s happy to travel when needed and work remotely when not
What’s on offer
*
£60,000 – £70,000 salary depending on experience
*
Company vehicle
*
BUPA health cover
*
28 days holiday plus Christmas shutdown
