Job Title: Site Manager – Large-Scale Solar Farm
Location: Stevenage, UK (on-site)
Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 + Overtime
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Relocation: Required upon project completion
Company Overview
We are representing a well-established and rapidly growing renewable energy company delivering utility-scale solar across the UK. With a strong pipeline of projects and a reputation for quality and safety, they are now seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the construction of a major solar farm in Stevenage.
Role Overview
As the Site Manager, you will lead the on-site delivery of a large-scale solar PV project from start to finish, ensuring works are carried out safely, on time, and to the highest standard. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working extended hours during peak delivery periods and open to relocating once this project concludes.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and company standards
* Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and labour onsite
* Monitor progress against schedule, reporting any delays or issues to senior management
* Maintain accurate site records and documentation
* Ensure quality control throughout the build
* Lead site meetings and toolbox talks
* Work closely with project and construction managers to ensure alignment of objectives
* Support commissioning and handover process upon project completion
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Site Manager on utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar PV preferred)
* Strong knowledge of civil and electrical construction processes
* SMSTS and First Aid qualifications (essential)
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent leadership and communication skills – Itallian speaking highly desired
* Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed
* Willingness to relocate to another project/site after this project is completed
