The Role & About the Client:

ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of a reputable local building contractor for an experienced Site Manager to join their growing team in Guildford. With over 20 years of experience, our client delivers high-quality building services and specialises in extensions, new builds, renovations, and conversions. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role with a well-respected company known for its reliability, craftsmanship, and attention to detail in residential construction.

As Site Manager, you will take full responsibility for day-to-day site operations, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification, and within budget. You will manage all on-site personnel and activities, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, and act as the primary point of contact on-site for the client and head office.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Oversee all on-site construction activities and ensure works are carried out in accordance with plans and specifications

Manage site teams and subcontractors, monitoring performance and productivity

*

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies

*

Coordinate deliveries and manage materials on-site

*

Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality standards

*

Liaise with clients, consultants, and head office to report on progress and resolve issues

*

Conduct regular site inspections and maintain accurate site records

The Ideal Candidate Will Have/Be:

*

Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar supervisory role in residential construction

*

Excellent leadership and communication skills

*

Strong knowledge of construction methods, health and safety, and building regulations

*

Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

*

Skilled in managing time, people, and resources efficiently

*

Competent with Microsoft Office and site management software/tools

*

SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications (desirable)
