I am working with one of the largest independent providers of utility infrastructure services in the south of the UK. This company plays a vital role in maintaining and enhancing essential services such as gas, water, telecoms, and energy.

Your new role
We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join a strong and growing team working on high-security civils projects, from a base in Norfolk. The role involves one main location. However, travel to support the rest of the group may be necessary as required.

Key responsibilities:

Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality requirements.
Provide guidance and support to management and teams on safety, health, environmental, and quality issues, including the development and implementation of site-specific policies and procedures
Managing and ensuring that all permitting and inspections are completed and hold the relevant information (permit controller)
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and assist in developing corrective and preventive actions to address root causes and prevent reoccurrence.
Coordinate training programs to raise awareness of safety, health, environmental, and quality standards and ensure that team members are adequately trained to perform their duties safely.
Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to safety, health, environmental, and quality performance, and identify areas for improvementWhat you'll need to succeed

Qualified in IOSH or NEBOSH (or working towards)
Qualified in SMSTS (Units 1-3)
Utility/Construction Site Experience
Good Knowledge of CDM 2015
Experience in writing/reviewing Risk Assessments, Method Statements & Reports
Experience in investigating incidents
Have good oral communication skillsWhat you'll get in return
