Join a fast-growing construction company with a reputation for quality, precision, and pace. Were seeking an experienced Managing Surveyor to take commercial ownership across a portfolio of diverse fitout, refurbishment, and maintenance projects across the UK.

About the Company
Headquartered in Croydon, Surrey, our client delivers outstanding office fitouts, high-end residential refurbishments, and term maintenance contracts (MTC) for high-profile public sector clients including the Ministry of Defence, Border Force, and Home Office.

Projects typically range from GBP20k to GBP800k, and the team is known for its agile, hands-on approach and commitment to quality. With continued growth, the business is now looking for a commercially savvy Managing Surveyor to join its senior team and contribute to strategic success.

The Role
As Managing Surveyor, you ll lead the commercial delivery of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account. You ll work closely with site teams, clients, and the board bringing structure, insight, and leadership to every stage.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the full commercial life cycle of fit-out, refurbishment & MTC projects

Prepare and submit monthly valuations and cost reports

Lead cost control, value engineering and risk management processes

Support pricing, tendering and bid work

Handle variations, subcontractor management and payment schedules

Mentor and guide junior surveyors

Report directly to the Managing Director and board

What We're Looking For
Were after someone hands-on, confident with JCT contracts, and commercially sharp. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy taking ownership of both the detail and the bigger picture.

Essential:

Proven experience in quantity surveying (ideally in fit-out, refurbishment, or MTC projects)

Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and valuation processes

Excellent leadership, reporting, and stakeholder skills

Full UK driving licence

Eligible to obtain SC/NPPV/DBS clearance

Desirable:

RICS qualified (or working toward)
