Facilities Assistant

Are you looking to start a new facilities and estates role quickly?

We have a new role for a Facilities Assistant, to join a University based in London, for an immediate start. This Facilities Assistant role is starting straight away and is for at least 3 months, with a chance to turn into a longer term assignment.

This Facilities Assistant role is paid £29,000 via an hourly rate and will be paid weekly.

Within this Facilities Assistant role you will be working on a shift rotation (8 hour shifts), Monday  – Friday with early and late shifts (early starting at 7.30 and the late shift finishing at 11.30pm.) You may also be required to work the occasional Saturday. 

You will enjoy a varied facilities and maintenance role, and have the opportunity to work for a brilliant manager in a great team.

Within this Facilities and Maintenance role you will be responsible for:

Daily room and building checks

Room set ups

Opening and closing the buildings 

Minor maintenance work – such as DIY minor repairs on the University Campus

Recording activity on a CAFM system

Working as a team and adhering to health and safety building regulations

For this Facilities and Maintenance Assistant role we are looking for:

Current and recent building services maintenance experience of minor repairs

Facilities experience such as room set ups

Strong communication skills

Able to use a CAFM system

Knowledge of basic building and facilities health and safety

This Facilities role would suit someone with current and recent experience of working in facilities or minor repairs, and someone who is immediately available for work. You must be happy to work in a temporary position and able to work a variety of hours. Experience of minor repairs is essential for this role.
