Position Overview

We are looking for a Maintenance & Technical Engineer to join our team and take responsibility for the technical upkeep, preventive maintenance, and repair operations across a diverse portfolio of hotels and commercial properties. This role requires a proactive, hands-on professional with deep technical knowledge of building systems and a strong commitment to safety, service quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations

Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building systems.
Diagnose and address reactive maintenance issues across sites with speed and professionalism.
Log, track, and report all work activities and repairs, ensuring transparency andVendor & Project Coordination

Liaise with and oversee third-party contractors for specialized repair work and service contracts.
Support renovation, refurbishment, and upgrade projects, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and commercial operations.Health & Safety Compliance

Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with health, safety, and building regulations.
Identify and mitigate technical risks within property infrastructure.Planning & Improvement

Assist in the budgeting and planning of maintenance operations.
Champion energy efficiency initiatives and support sustainability objectives across the property portfolio.Emergency Support

Participate in an on-call rota for emergency repairs and urgent technical issues.Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
7-10 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, ideally across both residential and commercial properties.
Demonstrated expertise in building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical distribution, BMS, fire protection, and access control.
Solid understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.Skills & Attributes

Excellent problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and coordination abilities, especially when dealing with tenants, contractors, and colleagues.
Working knowledge of CMMS systems (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Familiar with sustainable maintenance practices and regulatory compliance.
Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar are advantageous.Work Environment

Field-based role with regular travel to multiple property locations.
Involves working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and outdoor spaces.
Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required as appropriate
