Assistant Site Manager

We are currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Site Manager to join a reputable and forward-thinking construction team. Role Overview:

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations on site. Your role will focus on maintaining high standards in health & safety, quality assurance, and construction delivery. You will coordinate subcontractors, support site logistics, and help drive the project to meet key milestones.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the management of site operations, ensuring health and safety protocols are followed at all times.

Monitor progress against the construction programme and contribute to timely project delivery.

*

Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure effective sequencing of works.

*

Support the implementation of quality control systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

*

Maintain accurate records of site activity, including daily logs, snagging reports (e.g., SnagR), and progress updates.

*

Liaise with commercial, technical, and procurement teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

*

Help foster a collaborative and productive site culture with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and workmanship.

Requirements:

A Level 4 qualification (e.g., HNC/NVQ) in Construction or equivalent practical experience.

*

Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certification.

*

Previous experience working on traditional build, RC frame, or timber frame projects.

*

A sound understanding of health & safety regulations and site compliance procedures.

*

Strong organisational and communication skills with a proactive and professional approach.
