Building Surveyor

Approach Personnel are working with a leading refurbishment contractor, who are seeking a Building Surveyor to join them on a long term, social housing refurbishment contract in Coventry. In this role, you will be responsible for surveying existing social housing properties, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure the smooth delivery of planned refurbishment and energy efficiency projects.

Your in-depth knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and environmental considerations will be essential in defining the scope of works and ensuring all projects comply with client specifications and regulatory standards.

A key part of the role involves engaging with residents to understand their needs and preferences within the project specification, ensuring these are reflected throughout the delivery process.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in refurbishment surveying, particularly within cyclical planned maintenance and energy efficiency projects.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Dynamics 365.

Solid understanding of energy efficiency measures and familiarity with EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) data.

*

Ability to produce detailed condition reports and manage survey data effectively.

*

A proactive approach to health and safety and excellent communication skills.
