Technical Services Manager – Commercial – Central London

Our client is a Main Contractor with a proven track record of nationwide coverage of various projects. Specialising in MEP install; they are seeking Mechanically biased Technical Services Manager for an FCDO project in Central London.

Responsibilities

* Mechanical Services Leadership: Lead and coordinate the delivery of mechanical building services (HVAC, public health, etc.), ensuring full compliance with FCDO specifications, security requirements, and UK building regulations.

* Design Management & Technical Compliance: Review and manage the mechanical design process from Stage 3 to completion, ensuring technical submissions, specifications, and as-built documentation meet project standards and FCDO guidelines.

* Installation Oversight & Quality Assurance: Oversee on-site installation activities, ensuring works are completed to the highest quality, within programme and in line with commissioning and testing protocols for secure government projects.

* Interface & Coordination: Act as the key liaison between mechanical subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams to manage service integration, resolve coordination issues, and maintain strict compliance with FCDO technical security protocols.

* Commissioning & Handover Support: Drive the mechanical commissioning process, including witnessing tests and validating performance; support structured handover and client demonstration in alignment with FCDO operational readiness standards.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualification.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical services management or building services coordination on commercial or secure public-sector projects.

Must have UK Passport or existing RTW in the UK.
