Senior Estimator

About the Role
This is a pivotal role within the pre-construction team, where you will be responsible for the accurate preparation and submission of tenders, ensuring competitiveness and commercial viability. You’ll work across a broad spectrum of project types, including new builds, refurbishments, and specialist heritage schemes.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions across a range of project sectors
* Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost plans
* Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clarity and consistency
* Contribute to value engineering, risk assessment, and bid strategies
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates and supply chain trends
* Support junior estimators and collaborate closely with project and commercial teams
About You
* Proven experience in a senior estimating role within the construction industry
* Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations
* Experience in pricing diverse projects, including heritage and bespoke builds
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
* Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite
* Relevant qualifications in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field
