Head of Commercial – Major Utilities Framework
Location: Peterborough (with hybrid working)
Salary: Up to £120,000 per annum + Car/Allowance + Comprehensive Benefits
We are partnering with a major player in the UK's water sector to find a talented Head of Commercial for a significant, long-term capital delivery framework in Cambridgeshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a pivotal leadership role within a collaborative alliance, delivering a substantial programme of works for a key client in the water industry.
Based in Peterborough with the flexibility of hybrid working , you will be at the forefront of the commercial function, directing and developing the estimating, procurement, and programme management teams. Your leadership will be crucial in driving commercial performance and ensuring the successful delivery of strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct, lead, and develop the entire commercial function, including estimating and programme management.
Develop and implement commercial strategies to exceed the financial expectations of all stakeholders.
Take full accountability for the commercial performance and profitability of the business unit.
Lead and manage all commercial aspects of the business unit, ensuring the team is set up for success.
Collaborate with the procurement team to establish and maintain innovative commercial models.
Guide the estimating team to ensure cutting-edge project and programme estimating.
Foster a commercially aware culture and build strong collaborative relationships across the business unit.
Manage and deliver upon the expectations of senior stakeholders.About You:
We are looking for a candidate with:
Significant experience in a senior commercial management role within the utilities, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
A demonstrable track record of leading teams and delivering high-value project programmes.
A degree-level education.
Proven expertise in change management and delivering best practice.
Exceptional commercial acumen, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities.
Strong skills in negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management.What's on Offer:
