Site Engineer – Major Highways Framework
Location: Peterborough / Cambridgeshire Area Job Type: Contract Duration: 6 Months Minimum Start Date: Immediate / ASAP Rate: Circa £300 per day (LTD or CIS)
Are you an adaptable Site Engineer looking for a long-term contract with a variety of work? We have an immediate opening on a major highways framework, based from Peterborough and covering projects throughout the Cambridgeshire area.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain diverse experience across multiple scopes of work, including structures, groundworks, and earthworks. The role is for a minimum of 6 months and offers a competitive rate of around £300 per day on a LTD or CIS basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Setting out and surveying for a wide range of civil engineering works.
Overseeing works on-site to ensure compliance with design specifications.
Managing all Quality Assurance (QA) documentation.
Interpreting technical drawings and resolving engineering queries.
Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Upholding and enforcing stringent health and safety standards.
Completing as-built surveys and maintaining accurate site records.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Site Engineer on UK civil engineering projects, ideally within a highways environment.
A valid CSCS card is essential.
Proficiency with modern surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS).
A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering (HNC, HND, Degree).
Ability to adapt to different types of work and site environments.
