The Company:

Our client is a leading national developer with an exceptional track record of delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use schemes across the UK. With a strong pipeline of projects in the Southeast, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team based in Kent.

The Job:

* As an experienced Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting the land, pre-construction, and commercial teams by providing accurate and timely cost assessments for new developments.

* You’ll be responsible for preparing feasibility studies, tender submissions, cost plans, and budgets for a wide range of development projects, from land acquisition through to contract award.

* Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for residential and mixed-use developments.

* Conduct feasibility studies to support land acquisition and viability assessments.

* Liaise with land, planning, design, and commercial teams to ensure aligned cost planning.

* Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations to support pricing strategies.

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, construction methods, and materials.

* Support the bid process for new development opportunities, including risk and value management.

* Attend site visits, project briefings, and meetings with key stakeholders.

* Monitor changes in design and scope, assessing cost impacts accordingly.

* Assist with post-contract handovers to the commercial team.

Who we are looking for:

* Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in the residential or mixed-use development sector.

* Strong knowledge of construction methods, procurement, and cost planning.

* Previous experience working for a housebuilder, developer, or main contractor.

* Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Causeway, Conquest, or similar).

* Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not essential).

* Full UK driving licence.
