Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer £65k-£75k

Reports to: Technical Director

Location: London

The candidate would be ideally situated in London or the home

counties and able to travel different offices and sites.

Client projects are in London and the Southeast England.

Supporting the Client Technical department during tenders, pre-construction, design and commissioning activities technical elements on internal & external projects.

Role & responsibility include but not be limited to:

• Produce RFI’s for project (reviewed/confirmed with technical lead) send to client asap.

• Run through project specification (Materials/equipment)

• Review tender offers for technical compliance

• Assist Sales team with production of project specific tender clarifications & exclusions.

• Material/equipment/ products costed checked and confirmed for compliance.

• Contribute to production of (PEP) Project execution plan. (Dependant on project

value)

• Support preconstruction activities

• Review Prefabrication opportunity review & support design of any Off-Site Assemblies

• Produce technical submittals

• Procurement of major plant & equipment

• Production of any Installation information required technically.

• Attendance at design meetings / workshops with client.

• Drawings/ Schematic production / review before issue with changes required/advised.

• Interface with our Clients internal control team for interface requirements

• Commission ability review of mechanical system designs

• Support testing & commissioning activities

• Production of As Built / Handover documentation

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

• Ideally basic Autocad / Revit skills

• Any other duties deemed appropriate to the role

Qualifications

• Previous experience in engineering, preferably in a construction environment.

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs.

• Familiarity with relevant industry terminology, standards, and regulations.

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
