Due to a sustained increase in work, a regional contractor has a created a new role for a Contracts Manager to join their East London office.
As the Contracts Manager, you will be joining a company that has been established for over 15 years. They focus mainly on refurbishment schemes within the leisure, residential and commercial sectors. Typical projects are valued between £500,000 – £5m, and are located in East London, Essex and surrounding areas.
Reporting to a Construction Director, who will provide mentorship, you will be responsible for up to 6 sites, the role will have the following duties;
Liaise with site teams
Compiling reports,
Monitoring the H&S aspects of each project
Liaising with the Clients Project Team
Ensuring quality control
Generating and updating the construction phase plans.
Procurement of materials
Pre-start meetings,
Regular site progress meetings and handover meetings,
The positon suit candidates looking for career progression from a Project Manager, ideally with a degree qualification or minimum of 5 years on site experience. More importantly, will be having the right attitude, drive and a willingness to learn in the role.
