Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum
Location: Wakefield with travel to client sites as required
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

JS Recruitment are working in partnership with a respected client in the construction industry to recruit a Site Manager to oversee and deliver projects to a high standard. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic organisation that values professionalism, safety and quality workmanship.

As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the planning, coordination and supervision of work activities on site ensuring delivery to specification, on time and within budget. The role requires excellent leadership, communication and project management skills alongside strong knowledge of site health and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

* Coordinate and manage all site-based activities from planning through to completion

* Supervise site teams and subcontractors, ensuring optimal use of resources

* Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and the wider business in a professional and timely manner

* Oversee health and safety standards, ensure compliance with risk assessments and method statements

* Monitor build progress, budget and costs, reporting regularly to senior stakeholders

* Conduct quality and safety inspections, ensuring work meets expected standards

* Prepare site documentation including reports, drawings, permits, RAMS and budgets

* Resolve on-site issues promptly, managing change and adapting to challenges such as weather or site constraints

* Maintain compliance with environmental standards and waste management practices

Mandatory Requirements

* CSCS Card – Black preferred

* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

* NVQ Level 4 or 6 in Site Operations Management – completed or working towards

Essential Experience & Knowledge

* Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction

* Minimum 1 year in a supervisory capacity

* Strong working knowledge of health and safety regulations

Additional Certifications (Required):

* First Aid at Work

* Fire Warden

* Asbestos Awareness

Key Skills

* Excellent time management and organisation

* Strong communication and leadership skills

* Ability to enforce and adhere to processes and procedures

* Confident using project management tools and interpreting technical documentation
