Position: Technical Coordinator – Residential Housing

Location: West London

About the Opportunity:

We’re working on behalf of a well-established and respected housing developer with a strong presence in West London. They are currently seeking an experienced Technical Coordinator to join their growing Technical Team.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of residential projects, including both new build developments and schemes involving existing buildings with unique design and site challenges. It’s a chance to get involved in the full technical lifecycle of projects, from land acquisition to post-construction support.

The Role:

As a Technical Coordinator, you will report directly to the Technical Manager and play a key role in managing and delivering technical information across multiple projects. You’ll be responsible for coordinating consultants, managing design programmes, and ensuring all technical information is accurate and delivered on time to support site teams and other internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and brief external consultants to produce and deliver technical information within agreed timescales and budgets

Prepare technical specifications aligned with land budgets and technical/sales meeting requirements

*

Monitor and control the design programme, presenting progress at key internal meetings

*

Manage all statutory applications including Section Agreements, Building Regulations, NHBC approvals, and planning condition discharges

*

Ensure all working drawings are compliant with approved planning consents and reflect any necessary updates

*

Oversee and control production information, liaising closely with the Commercial Team to ensure cost control and budget alignment

*

Track and manage the professional fees budget, updating fee reports regularly for inclusion in monthly valuation meetings

*

Ensure full adherence to company technical policies and procedures

*

Coordinate and approve sales materials, including brochure plans, conveyance plans, and sales area layouts

*

Attend regular site meetings to provide technical support and resolve site-based queries

*

Support internal coordination between land, commercial, construction, and sales teams, as well as external consultants and contractors

*

Assist with subcontractor interviews and provide input on technical queries during procurement

*

Issue accurate and timely drawings and information for construction

The Ideal Candidate:

*

Previous experience as a Technical Coordinator (or similar role) within the residential housing sector is essential

*

Strong working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards, planning conditions, and statutory approvals process

*

Background in architecture, engineering, or construction design management

*

Highly organised, with strong communication and coordination skills

*

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping to tight deadlines

*

Proficient in managing external design consultants and working collaboratively with internal teams
