Site Technician

he Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Site Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for carrying out on-site testing and sampling of construction materials, including asphalt, concrete, and soil. The role involves working on active construction sites and liaising with site staff, engineers, and laboratory teams to ensure data is accurately collected and reported.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct on-site testing of asphalt, concrete, and soil to relevant industry standards (e.g. BS, EN, ASTM).

Take representative samples and deliver them to the laboratory for further analysis.

*

Prepare and maintain detailed, accurate field and testing records.

*

Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure reliable results.

*

Work in line with health and safety protocols at all times.

*

Communicate effectively with clients, site managers, and the lab team.

Requirements

*

Previous experience in materials testing (especially asphalt, concrete, or soil) is highly desirable.

*

Understanding of relevant testing standards and procedures.

*

CSCS card (or equivalent) preferred.

*

Full UK driving licence (or relevant local equivalent) required.

*

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in various conditions
