Great opportunity for a MEICA Project Manager working for a major civil engineering contractor in the civil and water sectors based in West Sussex

Key responsibilities of the MEICA Project Manager

* Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning activities for a portfolio of water-related projects,

* Maintain high standards of safety and environmental protection,

* Ensure that MEICA project scoping, design, and project delivery are supported from feasibility to completion

* Quality Assurance

* Coordinate activities and teams as part of the wider project delivery

* Manage and report on the cost and programme for MEICA packages of works

* Provide technical support to the design team

* Manage MEICA design and subcontract partner contracts

* Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with the client’s site-based operational teams, project teams, and wider internal stakeholders,

* Ensure quality records and final documentation are completed in line with client requirements and issued on time,

* Review supply chain performance against key performance indicators (KPIs),

* Ensure equipment is installed by suppliers correctly

Skills and Knowledge of the MEICA Project Manager

* Strong commercial awareness (NEC4 & JCT) and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

* Broad understanding of Health & Safety, construction techniques, construction plant, products and innovation, environmental constraints, and licensing requirements.

* Effective communication skills

* An enthusiastic, proactive, and efficient approach to work

* Technology skills

* Proficiency in IT Microsoft Office skills (Microsoft 365 – Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams).

* Experience with contract communication systems (e.g., Procore, CEMAR, ASite).

Ideal requirements of the MEICA Project Manager

* CSCS Card.

* Temporary Works Coordinator certification.

* Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certification.

* Qualifications

* HNC/HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

* Chartered Engineer or working towards professional accreditation with the appropriate engineering institution
