Pre-Contract Planner – Main Contractor

Our client is looking to recruit a Pre-contract / Pre-Construction Planner to work within a construction main contractor environment, and you will be responsible for developing and managing the project schedule and plan during the pre-construction phase, ensuring tenders are competitive and achievable.

You will work closely with estimators, bid managers, and other team members to create detailed, compliant, and optimized tender programs. Your work will include risk assessment, resource allocation, and ensuring the program aligns with the overall project strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

* Tender Program Development: Creating and managing tender programs, considering all stages of the project (pre-construction, design, procurement, and construction).

* Tender Document Review: Thoroughly reviewing tender documents and employer's requirements to understand project scope and constraints.

* Tender Submission Support: Working with the pre-construction team to develop a full and detailed tender submission.

* Risk and Opportunity Management: Identifying, assessing, and managing risks and opportunities associated with the tender program.

* Stakeholder Communication: Liaising with internal teams, senior management, subcontractors, and clients throughout the tender process.

* Programme Optimization: Ensuring the tender program is optimized for resources, risk, and value.

* Subcontractor Liaison: Engaging with subcontractors and suppliers to clarify program requirements and build accurate schedules.

* Internal Reporting: Presenting program information for internal meetings and reports.

* Contractual Compliance: Ensuring the tender program complies with contractual requirements.

* Post Tender Review: Participating in mid and post-tender interviews and presenting the tender program
