Electrical Construction Manager
Location: Hackney, East London
Duration: 10 Months (Contract)
Project: Hotel Development – CAT A Fit-Out
Start Date: Immediate

A leading main subcontractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to take ownership of the electrical works on a major hotel project in Hackney. This is a fit-out phase role, requiring strong on-site coordination and delivery skills from 1st fix through to commissioning and handover.

Project Scope:

CAT A fit-out across guest rooms, plant areas, and commercial spaces

Key Responsibilities:

*

Manage on-site electrical installation activities, ensuring safe and efficient delivery

*

Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour to meet programme milestones

*

Liaise with the main contractor and other trades to maintain smooth site operations

*

Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures

*

Conduct progress tracking, quality inspections, and issue resolution

*

Oversee testing, commissioning, and final handover

*

Review and manage technical submissions, RAMS, and installation drawings

*

Attend weekly site meetings and produce progress reports

Candidate Requirements:

*

Minimum 5 years’ experience as an Electrical Construction Manager on commercial or hospitality projects

*

Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems (LV, containment, lighting, small power, fire alarm, etc.)

*

Experience delivering CAT A or similar high-spec fit-out projects

*

SMSTS or SSSTS, valid CSCS card (Black/Gold preferred), First Aid

*

Ability to manage teams, handle on-site coordination, and drive programme delivery

*

Competent in interpreting technical drawings and working closely with design teams
