Survey Manager / Survey Director – Land & Measured Building Surveys

This is an excellent opportunity for a Survey Manager / Survey Director to lead the setup of a new Land and Measured Building Survey division in Scotland. You will have the chance to build and grow a business unit from the ground up, combining hands-on
surveying with strategic leadership and business development.

This Chartered RICS surveying practice specialises in land and measured building surveys, offering geospatial services including topographical, utilities, and measured building work. With a strong reputation for quality, they work with public sector clients such as local councils and private firms like major contractors, and are focused on securing larger tenders with Tier 1 clients as part of their growth plans.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and grow a new surveying division, combining hands-on work with business development and team leadership. You'll have real ownership, flexible working, and a strong package including bonus and car allowance, with clear career progression.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years' experience in land and measured building surveys, strong project and tendering skills, and a proven ability to lead and develop teams. A proactive attitude, good communication, and experience in the Scottish market are essential. RICS membership is preferred but not required.

The Role:

Chartered RICS practice specialising in land and measured building surveys
Provide geospatial services including topographical, utilities, and measured building work
Work with public sector clients (councils) and private firms like major contractors
Focused on growth and securing larger tenders with Tier 1 clientsThe Person:

5-10 years' experience in Land and Measured Building Surveying with strong technical skills
Proven business development and leadership ability, with a can-do attitude
Experience tendering for public sector work in Scotland (desirable) and RICS membership (preferred)
Flexible to work between site, office, and home as needed
