Project Manager – £10M Industrial Unit (Manchester)
About the Role
Our client, a reputable regional building contractor, are seeking an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of a new £10 million industrial unit in Manchester. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the project from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all phases of the construction project lifecycle
*
Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
*
Monitor project schedules, cost control, and progress reports
*
Chair site and client meetings; manage stakeholder expectations
*
Oversee health & safety compliance and risk management on site
*
Ensure adherence to project specifications, drawings, and contracts
*
Liaise closely with the commercial team on procurement and variations
Requirements
*
Proven track record managing industrial/commercial construction projects (ideally £5M+)
*
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Project Manager or Senior Site Manager role
*
Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations and CDM
*
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
*
Relevant qualifications in Construction Management or Engineering (HNC/HND/Degree)
*
SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White Card), and First Aid certifications
Desirable
*
Experience delivering steel-frame industrial units
*
Previous work with logistics or manufacturing sector clients
