About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Engineer to join our growing consultancy team on a remote basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled fire engineer to deliver innovative fire safety solutions while working from anywhere in the UK. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across a range of sectors, ensuring compliance with relevant fire safety standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop detailed fire strategies, risk assessments, and technical reports for a variety of construction projects.

Collaborate with project stakeholders including architects, contractors, and fellow engineers within a multidisciplinary consultancy setting.

*

Provide expert fire engineer input throughout the design and construction phases of each project.

*

Engage with local authorities, building control, and fire services as needed to ensure smooth approval processes.

*

Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation, best practices, and fire engineering techniques.

Requirements:

*

Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, or a related engineering discipline.

*

Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a fire engineer, ideally within a multidisciplinary consultancy environment.

Strong understanding of UK regulations such as Approved Document B, BS 9999, and BS 7974.

*

Excellent communication and technical report-writing skills.

*

Self-motivated and confident working independently in a remote setting.

Desirable Qualifications:

Working toward or holding Chartership (e.g., MIFireE, CEng).

*

Experience using fire modeling and evacuation simulation software (e.g., FDS, Pathfinder).

*

Exposure to sectors such as commercial, residential, infrastructure, or healthcare.
