About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Associate Director – Façades to lead our façade consultancy division in London. This is a senior leadership role with strategic, technical, and operational responsibilities, playing a vital role in driving business growth, mentoring teams, and delivering high-quality façade engineering solutions across a range of complex projects.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of façade systems, strong commercial awareness, and a proven track record of leadership in consultancy or specialist contractor environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of façade engineers, consultants, and technical specialists across multiple projects.

Provide expert advice on façade design, performance, materials, and compliance from concept through to delivery.

Maintain oversight of all technical outputs, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Develop and nurture client relationships, supporting business development and strategic partnerships.
*
Drive the growth of the façade division in London, contributing to business planning, resourcing, and profitability.
*
Support bids, tenders, and fee proposals with technical and commercial input.
Requirements:

Degree-qualified in façade engineering, architecture, structural engineering, or a related discipline.
*
Minimum 10 years' experience within the façade industry, with at least 3 years in a senior or associate/director-level role.

Extensive knowledge of curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing systems, and full building envelope solutions.
*
Strong understanding of UK building regulations, façade testing standards (e.g., CWCT), and fire performance requirements.
*
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex, high-value projects.
*
Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.
Desirable:

Chartered status (CEng, MICE, MIFireE, or similar) or membership of a relevant professional body.
*
Experience in façade remediation, recladding, and compliance with the Building Safety Act.

Established network within the construction and façade consultancy sectors.
