Senior Site Engineer / Senior Engineer – Groundworks & Civil Engineering

* Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

* Rate: £350 – £420 a day

My client are a premier groundworks and civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure and groundwork projects—ranging from minor to multi‑million pound contracts for the past 50 years.

Role Overview

We’re seeking a proactive Senior Engineer to join the civil engineering team in Buckinghamshire. Reporting to the Contracts Manager or Managing Engineer, you’ll manage engineering delivery across groundwork and infrastructural packages, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency .

Key Responsibilities:

Lead site engineering across bulk earthworks, drainage, highways, RC ground beams, enabling works

*

Set out infrastructure using Leica/GPS total stations—produce accurate site levels and as-built surveys

*

Perform Technical Queries (RFIs), quality inspections, and ensure compliance with Inspection & Test Plans

*

Provide engineering support on site, troubleshoot, and liaise with subcontractors and clients

*

Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring cohesion and shared best practice
