The Opportunity
My client is looking for a freelance Quantity Surveyor with 3–5 years’ experience to support ongoing works across some of the biggest energy framework projects in the UK.

You’ll work on a portfolio of power infrastructure projects including substations, overhead lines, and underground cabling, under bespoke NEC-based contracts. The role requires a commercially astute professional who is confident managing all aspects of quantity surveying on live frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage cost control, valuations, change management, and reporting

* Administer NEC-based contracts and ensure contractual compliance

* Work closely with delivery teams and clients to manage commercial risks

* Travel to site locations in the North West and South East up to 4 days per week

* Work remotely for the remainder of the week (home-based)

Requirements

* 3–5 years’ QS experience within the power sector (substations, OHLs, or cabling)

* Sound working knowledge of NEC contracts (essential)

* Previous experience on DNO/TNO frameworks is highly desirable

* Able to work independently and flexibly across multiple regions

* UK driving licence and willingness to travel
