Graduate Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control measures and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver projects within budget.

Duties

* Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.

* Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures to ensure adherence to budgets.

* Conduct feasibility studies to assess the viability of projects from a financial perspective.

* Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to provide accurate financial advice and support.

* Prepare tender documents and assist in the tendering process by evaluating bids and making recommendations.

* Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.

* Provide regular reports on project costs and forecasts to management and stakeholders.

* Assist in resolving any disputes related to costs or contracts during the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential.

* Proven experience in quantity surveying or cost management within the construction industry is preferred.

* Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.

* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

* Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools for estimating and reporting purposes.

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

* A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
