General Foreman/ Supervisor

One of our long-term clients, a reputable and growing civil engineering and highways contractor, is looking to bring a General Foreman / Site Supervisor into their close-knit team. With a strong pipeline of work across Southern England and a reputation for delivering projects safely and efficiently, this is a great opportunity to secure a stable and rewarding role with genuine potential for long-term development.
The role:
As a General Foreman or Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of highways and civil sites, ensuring that all work is delivered safely, to spec, and on time. You'll lead and motivate site teams, work closely with Project Managers, and ensure everything on site runs smoothly.
What you'll be doing:
Leading site operations on civil/highway projects
Ensuring compliance with method statements, RAMS, and H&S requirements
Managing site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth daily progress
Liaising with engineers, clients, and management teams
Keeping site records and assisting with reporting and quality control
Identifying and resolving day-to-day site issues quickly and effectively
What we're looking for:
Solid background in highways or general civils projects
Proven experience as a Foreman, Supervisor, or similar leading site teams
Strong leadership and communication skills
SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS, and ideally NRSWA Supervisor
A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to get the best out of your team
Full UK driving licence and willingness to work across Southern England
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Vehicle Allowance + Pension
Location: Basingstoke-based with travel to sites across Southern England
