A highly successful leading subcontractor known for their expertise in bespoke glass façades is seeking an experienced Estimator to oversee their pre-construction activity in identifying, tendering for and securing projects.

As one of the UK's top installers of bespoke glass and façade systems they need a knowledgeable Estimator to strengthen and support their current team. Working on facade projects with glass and curtain walling and associated steel and architectural metal works, ideally you will have recent project experience.

As an Estimator you will be supporting and reporting to the Operation Manager to ensure successful delivery of various façade projects. Therefore, your day to day responsibilities will vary from but are not limited to:

Reviewing the Tender documentation.
Developing the Tender design by taking of quantities and proposing building details and construction methods.
Searching potential external suppliers.
Managing price requests to external suppliers.
Compiling the Tender submissions.
Monitoring Tenders after submission and respond to any further requests by the client.
Managing all communications with the client during the Tender process.
Liaising with the Engineering and Production departments. The ideal Estimator will have graduated with at least an HND or equivalent qualification and some practical experience ideally exposure to a suitable specialist sub-contractor and preferably with experience of curtain walling, cladding and glass systems, you will have a focused attitude and excellent communication skills and must be able to work as part of a team and possess a high level of motivation.

The salary will be dependent and a product of experience. In return, the package will include a car allowance and additional benefits which will be negotiable.
