They are seeking a talented Project Manager to join their team, taking on a dual role that combines project delivery with crucial pre-construction responsibilities.

About the Role

This unique position offers the opportunity to blend your project management expertise with your commercial acumen. You'll be instrumental in both winning and delivering projects, gaining invaluable experience across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Costing Projects: Work closely with the pre-construction team to accurately cost new fit-out projects, typically ranging from £50,000 to £600,000. This will involve detailed analysis of specifications, obtaining competitive quotes, and preparing comprehensive budget proposals.

Project Delivery: Take ownership of managing smaller to medium-sized fit-out projects from concept to completion. This includes planning, scheduling, budget control, quality assurance, and client communication.

Client Engagement: Assist in client presentations and discussions during the pre-construction phase, articulating project scope and costings clearly.

Subcontractor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of works.

Programme Management: Develop and manage realistic project programmes, ensuring deadlines are met and potential issues are identified early.

Site Management Support: Collaborate closely with site teams to ensure smooth on-site execution and resolve any challenges efficiently.

About You

You're a proactive and commercially aware individual with a solid foundation in project management within the fit-out sector. While you may not have extensive years of experience, your enthusiasm, quick learning ability, and proven capability in managing projects and understanding costs set you apart.

Proven experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager within the fit-out construction sector.

Demonstrable experience or a strong aptitude for costing projects (estimating, tender support, budget preparation).

Ability to successfully manage multiple smaller projects or a single medium-sized project concurrently.

Strong commercial awareness and excellent negotiation skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, confident in liaising with clients and stakeholders.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in project management software.

A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
