About the Role
They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple education fit-out and refurbishment schemes on a temporary contract basis. You’ll oversee projects typically ranging from £500k to £3m, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the highest standards — ready for critical term-time handovers.
Your key responsibilities will include:

Managing full project delivery from pre-construction through to completion and handover.

Coordinating with internal designers, procurement teams and specialist subcontractors.

Ensuring all works meet DfE and safeguarding requirements for working in live school environments.

Maintaining excellent communication with school leadership teams, keeping them informed and reassured throughout the process.
*
Driving programmes and ensuring zero-defect handovers within tight holiday windows.

Requirements

Proven track record managing fit-out or refurbishment projects in live school environments is essential.
*
Strong understanding of safeguarding, DBS compliance and DfE guidelines.
*
Experience with tight programmes, fast-track summer or half-term works.
*
Excellent stakeholder management skills — able to engage confidently with headteachers, governors and school trusts.

SMSTS, First Aid and enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
