Hill McGlynn, specialists in construction recruitment, are proud to be working with a well-established main contractor, currently looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support their growing portfolio of projects across fast-paced retail fit-out schemes.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven QS to take ownership of multiple live projects, working within a dynamic and client-focused environment.

The Role:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the full commercial management of multiple retail fit-out projects, ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the client’s expectations. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and the client to maintain high standards of delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Commercial management of multiple fast-paced retail fit-out projects

* Preparing and managing budgets, cost reports, and forecasts

* Overseeing procurement and subcontractor management

* Managing valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Ensuring contractual compliance (JCT knowledge preferred)

* Working collaboratively with project teams and clients

* Providing support and guidance to junior commercial staff

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector

* Track record of working on fast-paced retail fit-out projects

* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Strong commercial awareness and contractual understanding

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills

* Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
