Hill McGlynn Recruitment is excited to partner with a reputable regional main contractor based near Maidstone, known for their commitment to quality and excellence across a diverse range of projects. Our client delivers high-profile schemes within the Education, Healthcare, Leisure, Commercial, and Government sectors, and they are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with the addition of an experienced Quantity Surveyor.

The Role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the financial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project teams and reporting to senior management, you will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Managing project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports

* Preparing and agreeing valuations, variations, and final accounts

* Procurement of subcontractors and supplier packages

* Ensuring contractual compliance (JCT or similar)

* Providing commercial support to project teams throughout project lifecycle

* Supporting the delivery of multiple projects across a variety of sectors

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the main contracting environment

* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contracts

* Track record of managing projects across sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Commercial, or Leisure

* Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills

* Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
