Vacancy: Civil Design Engineer

Boyd recruitment are currently recruiting a Civil Design Engineer to join a growing independently owned partnership in Glasgow.

Due to a healthy increase in workload, they are looking to expand their water services team with Civil design Engineers.

The client has a variety of projects within the waste, retail, residential, commercial, and renewables sectors.

The Job

The Civil design engineer will

Liaise with members of staff and the design team to achieve a coordinated design

Produce infrastructure design using PDS ground modelling software and integrate same with Microdrainage 

Provide infrastructure engineering design and detailing of drainage , site levels together with ground modelling and SUDS design

Undertake detailing to technical approval submission standards for roads and drainage consents

Develop detailing and coordination skills to further develop and enhance experience and capabilities

Provide infrastructure design and engineering details

The Candidate

The ideal Civil design Engineer will have

Minimum HNC/ HND in Civil Engineering, BEng in civil Engineering 

Experience in Drainage, water supply infrastructure(reservoirs), and water structures(culverts, ponds)

Construction industry experience

Capability of using software packages such as Auctocad, Revit and Microdrainage

Ability to maximise the levels of responsibility taken on projects, small and large

Communication and numerical skills
