Position OverviewSeeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing Building Services design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design of HVAC systems and plumbing, through to construction for a variety of exciting and challenging projects.

Key Responsibilities

Design and specification of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, domestic water, drainage, and specialist systems
Produce detailed calculations using industry software such as Hevacomp, Revit MEP, and AutoCAD
Prepare design drawings, technical specifications, and tender documentation
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and external consultants to ensure seamless integration of building services
Attend design team meetings, site visits, and inspections as required
Ensure designs comply with current legislation, standards, and best practice (e.g., CIBSE, Building Regulations, BREEAM)
Key Requirements

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical building services design
Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Hevacomp, or similar
Sound knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and codes of practice (CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS EN)
Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE) desirable
Full UK driving licence preferred
