Project Manager – High-End Residential (Joinery Background)

Our client is a well-established and highly respected residential contractor specialising in luxury refurbishments and bespoke fit-outs across Central London. They are seeking a Project Manager with a strong background in joinery or carpentry to oversee high-spec private client projects, often in live or listed environments.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will take full ownership of ultra-prime refurbishment projects from pre-construction through to handover. Working closely with architects, interior designers, and discerning clients, you will ensure the highest levels of finish, programme delivery, and budget control.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage end-to-end delivery of high-end residential refurbishment projects (£1M–£10M+)

Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and specialist trades, particularly bespoke joinery and finishing packages

Maintain detailed programmes, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery

Liaise with clients, consultants, and supply chain to maintain standards and resolve issues swiftly

Oversee quality control, H&S compliance, and site logistics in sensitive environments

Ensure variations, valuations, and progress reports are managed effectively in collaboration with commercial teams

Drive a culture of attention to detail, cleanliness, and respect for occupied/luxury settings

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Project Manager within high-end residential construction

Background in joinery, carpentry, or a related trade, with a strong appreciation for quality craftsmanship

Experience delivering prime or super-prime refurbishments in Central London

Excellent communication and client-facing skills

Able to manage complex finishes, bespoke detailing, and multiple subcontractor interfaces

SMSTS, First Aid, CSCS (Black or Gold Card)

Comfortable with Asta/MS Project and standard site documentation
