Groundworks Estimator – Leading RC Frame & Groundworks Contractor
Location: Hatfield (Head Office based)
Salary: Up to £90,000 (depending on experience)

Ridgeway & Co are partnered with a well-established RC Frame & Groundworks subcontractor, currently seeking a skilled Estimator to join their commercial team at their Hatfield head office.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the most respected names in the groundworks sector, supporting tenders on a wide range of residential and commercial schemes across London and the South East.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Pricing of groundworks and RC frame packages ranging from £1m to £25m

*

Reviewing and interpreting drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities

*

Preparing accurate take-offs and cost plans

*

Working closely with the pre-construction and commercial teams to develop tender strategies

*

Liaising with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations

*

Supporting bid submissions and post-tender negotiations

Requirements:

*

Proven experience as an Estimator with a groundworks subcontractor

*

Strong technical knowledge of earthworks, concrete structures, drainage, and external works

*

Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications

*

Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel

*

Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

*

Based within commuting distance to Hatfield, or willing to travel
