Project Manager
We are representing an innovative and fast-growing project management consultancy with a reputation for delivering high-impact infrastructure programmes across the rail, transport, and energy sectors. Due to a significant new commission, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager—from either a consultancy or contracting background—to join their expanding team.
This is a unique opportunity to play a leading role in a major government-backed initiative to deliver electric vehicle charging infrastructure (EVCI) across a substantial operational estate. This programme is central to the client's decarbonisation strategy, supporting the transition to a fully electric fleet over a three-year period.
The successful candidate will lead the end-to-end delivery of EVCI rollout across approximately 30 sites, ensuring seamless coordination between multiple delivery partners and alignment with strategic programme objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the procurement and coordination of subcontractors covering:
* Design and engineering
* Grid connection and applications
* Installation and commissioning
* Ongoing operation and maintenance
* Act as the primary point of contact with the client, ensuring clear communication, reporting, and programme visibility.
* Provide structured programme leadership across all stages of the project lifecycle.
* Drive multi-party coordination to deliver works efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
* Establish and maintain strong stakeholder engagement across internal and external parties.
* Ensure effective governance, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Monitor and report on progress, budget, and quality metrics, ensuring delivery to agreed KPIs and milestones.
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in project management within the infrastructure sector (rail, transport, energy, or similar).
* Experience delivering complex, multi-site programmes.
* Strong background in managing external supply chains and contractor performance.
* Familiarity with infrastructure decarbonisation, EV charging projects, or renewable energy deployment is highly desirable but not essential.
* Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills
