Site Manager

Morva Recruitment are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Site Manager to lead a significant commercial construction project in West Cornwall, based in St Ives. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a dynamic site for approximately 12 months, with the potential to secure permanent employment based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget

Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams effectively

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including site safety and quality standards

Coordinate with project stakeholders and report progress regularly

*

Resolve site issues proactively to maintain workflow efficiency

Candidate Requirements:

Proven experience managing commercial construction projects

*

Strong background in carpentry preferred

*

Valid SMSTS certification

*

First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)

*

Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

*

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

*

Commitment to health and safety best practices
