Site Manager – Fire Doors

My client is a leading specialist in the field of fire protection, offering active and passive (fire stopping / fire doors) fire protection services to some of the leading UK landlords in the UK.

They've been established for over 15 years, and during this time have produced some fantastic year on year growth. They are an ambitious company and are forecasting further growth this year driven by an excellent work quality.

They are looking to employ a site manager to oversee fire door works on projects across the UK – you will be required to travel and there will be the need to stop away, all be it they don't see it being for weeks at a time. Due to the growth they are forecasting, they can offer genuine long term career growth opportunities for any of the successful candidates.

To be considered, you will need to have your SMSTS, First Aid and NVQ3 qualifications.

You will be overseeing a team of directly employed and sub-contractors and your duties will be as follows:-

Quality and Compliance:

* Ensure all works are completed in line with industry standards and relevant accreditations.

* Site checks.

* Accurate report monitoring and recording.

Site Management:

* Site setup and works sign offs.

* Managing stock, and conducting site surveys.

* Inspecting works to ensure final delivery.

Team Leadership:

* Supervise trades / sub-contractors, resolving daily challenges and promoting team morale.

* Maximising productivity on-site.

Quality Control:

* Ensure all works are certifiable, compliant, and aligned with client expectations.

* Conduct spot checks and maintain records of completed works.

Client Liaison:

* Pre-start meetings and maintain a clean, organised site that reflects the company’s professional image.

* Engage with clients and residents, explaining works clearly and managing expectations.

* Progress updates to the Project Manager and participate in client calls as needed.

Health & Safety:

* Implementing the company’s Health & Safety policy across all sites.

* Ensure safe working practices through regular training and audits.

* Induct new tradespeople and ensure all relevant H&S paperwork is completed.

* Lead regular toolbox talks, including Health & Safety updates
