Temporary Work Coordinator – Energy from Waste
Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading plant expert of the power and water industry to recruit a Temporary Works Coordinator to look after the Turbine package on a 4-month contract for its Scotland site.
The Temporary Works Coordinator role comes with competitive rate per day.
Key skills:
Coordinate, manage, and oversee all temporary works relating to the turbine scope, ensuring compliance with BS 5975 and site procedures.
Act as the Appointed Person for Lifting Operations, planning and managing complex and critical lifts involving turbine components.
Perform duties as Lifting Supervisor, ensuring lifts are conducted safely, competently, and in line with approved lift plans.
Liaise with temporary works designers, subcontractors, and the principal contractor to ensure all temporary works are properly designed, checked, and implemented.
Maintain and manage the temporary works register and ensure appropriate permits and approvals are in place.
Conduct inspections and audits of temporary works and lifting activities.
Support site safety initiatives and act as an on-site First Aider.
Participate in method statement and risk assessment (RAMS) reviews.
Attend and contribute to coordination meetings and safety briefings.
