M&E Quantity Surveyor

My client are now seeking a skilled M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their in-house team. This is a key role within a company that integrates M&E into the design and construction process from day one, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency across all phases of a project.
The Role
As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a vital role in the commercial management of mechanical and electrical packages across a range of sustainability-focused building projects. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure cost certainty, value engineering, and contract compliance-while contributing to energy-efficient, BREEAM and Net Zero aligned solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage M&E cost planning, tendering, procurement, and contract administration
Liaise with design and delivery teams to ensure seamless M&E integration
Monitor budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts
Identify and mitigate commercial risks
Ensure all works comply with relevant standards, regulations, and internal systems
Support audits and reporting for ISO and other quality accreditations
What They're Looking For
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor on M&E or Building Services packages
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems within the built environment
Familiarity with sustainability benchmarks (e.g. BREEAM, Net Zero)
Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Strong knowledge of contracts (e.g. JCT, NEC)
Relevant degree or equivalent experience
