A well-established residential developer based in Buckinghamshire is looking to appoint a Architectural Designer to join their internal team. This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape and evolve a high-quality, commercially focused housing product portfolio.

The Role
As part of the in-house design team, you'll be involved in refining the company's standard house type range and adapting layouts to suit site-specific requirements for planning applications. You'll collaborate with planning and technical teams, as well as external consultants, to support the submission and delivery of residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:
– Support the preparation and ongoing development of standard house type designs.
– Adapt and prepare layouts for individual sites to support planning submissions.
– Produce presentation and technical drawings aligned with planning policies and design codes.
– Work with land, planning, and technical teams to ensure designs meet all commercial and regulatory requirements.
– Assist in preparing supporting documents such as Design & Access Statements and other planning reports.

Skills & Experience Required:
– Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or equivalent.
– 2-3+ years' experience in a similar role (preferably within the residential or housebuilding sector).
– Proficiency in AutoCAD essential.
– Solid understanding of UK planning policy and housing design standards.
– Experience working on planning applications and masterplanning layouts.
– Strong communication and collaboration skills.
– Attention to detail and a design-led mindset.
