Mechanical Fitter – Water

Role: Mechanical Fitter – Water sector – Waste Water
Locations: Testwood, Southampton
Duration: 3 months + Potential extension
Rate: £28 – £31 per hour + Nights @1.5x
Start date: August 2025
Hours: 46 hours per week
 
My client a large water industry contractor specialising in mechanical & electrical installation within the water industry are currently looking for a Mechanical Fitter with either water industry or industrial experience to join their team.
 
The ideal person will have water experience and be open to doing stay away work.
Main Responsibility
·Installing steel pipework
·You will be involved in both water and waste water projects involving maintenance of pumps, pipes, bridge repairs along with other related tasks as well as some installation work.
·6mm – 3mm duct tile
 
Skills & Qualifications:
·Qualified mechanical fitter (NVQ or "City and Guilds" level 3)
·CSCS card essential
·EUSR (Blue water Hygiene)
