Lemon Drizzle Recruitment has been appointed to recruit a Site Manager for a main contractor based in Teesside. They predominately work in the healthcare sector, delivering refurbishment and new build projects up to 15m.
You’ll be site based in Middlesbrough and will manage a design and build refurbishment project of an existing healthcare building. This will be an NEC 4 form of contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Site Manager to join a rapidly growing business.
What you’ll be responsible for
A Site Manager’s role is to manage all site activities to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, within budget and in line with contractual obligations.
Creating a positive Health & Safety culture, your duties will include supervising all construction workers and making regular safety inspections.
Quality control is a big part of this role using field view/view point to record defects and demonstrate progress to the client.
* Oversee day to day operational duties of the project from inception to completion
* Manage site activities on a day-to-day basis, including supervising labour, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control
* Ensure on-site safety through risk assessment and risk management
* Promote a positive Health & Safety culture
* Liaise with buyers for material procurement and effective buying opportunities
* Build and maintain strong relationships and ensure regular communications with key contacts, both internal and external customers, reporting progress on projects
What’s in it for you?
Salary will be competitive depending on experience ranging from £40k – £50k plus car allowance. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, private healthcare and company bonus.
Who is this role ideal for?
The ideal candidate will have site management experience and be excellent at monitoring build quality. Experience in the healthcare sector is preferred but commercial refurb experience will also be considered, ideally from working in a ‘live’ environment.
* Good knowledge of construction, building regulations and legal guidelines.
* Excellent at prioritising effectively, and able to deal with multiple responsibilities and deadlines
* A strong communicator and able to build strong relationships with people on all levels
* Proficient in Field View/View point (or other digital defect reporting software)
* Well organised with exceptional timekeeping
* Full UK driving licence
* SMSTS/CSCS/First Aid certs
